Everdell Insert & Organization Guide

Starling Games · 2018

Everdell mixes a big card deck with a bag of many wooden resource types, cardboard tokens, and the large Ever Tree standee. The stock plastic tray keeps the base game tidy but has no headroom once you sleeve cards or add the several expansions.

The box it comes in

The factory insert is so-so

The retail box has a molded plastic tray that holds base-game components reasonably, but it isn't built for sleeved cards or for Pearlbrook/Bellfaire/Spirecrest overflow, so collectors outgrow it quickly.

Your options

Evacore kit covering the base game plus Collector's Edition content and the Pearlbrook, Bellfaire, and Spirecrest expansions across up to four layers; reviewers note it leaves room to spare even fully sleeved.

Plenty of printable resource bins, card trays, and Ever Tree solutions; a good route for owners who want per-resource cups.

Works well given the square box; useful if you want a custom layout that keeps the Ever Tree and boards in the base box.

Sleeved cards fit

Sleeved cards & the insert

The stock plastic tray gets tight with sleeved cards. Folded Space FS-EVE explicitly supports sleeves up to 100 micron and is frequently praised for having spare space even with everything sleeved.

The verdict

Base-game-only, unsleeved owners can live with the stock tray. Once you sleeve the deck or pick up any expansion, the Folded Space FS-EVE is the go-to and swallows all the expansion content; 3D-printed resource bins are a nice add-on if you own a printer.
